With his novel “Ilegal Parnas”, Bojan Babic managed to reveal, through the sad picture of the position of the main character, the abyss of society which, despite calling itself progressive,is not that far away from a small-town mentality. This novel is written in a form of nineteen letters in which an architect,with a silly nickname Curvoisei„Illegal Parnas“ is a great novel written by this Serbian writer, which, despite the fact that it is written on only one hundred and forty pages, does not lack comprehensiveness. The storyline has its own plot and there are none of the pretentious narrative experiments that often distract readers from the main story,and there is no overwhelming with other characters and their stories.Nothing new or revolutionary on any level,but without doubt,smart, and concise.
er,writes to the famous French architect,painter and writer Le Corbisier,where he explains his idea of building a complex on a hill Parnas,that would consist of replicas of its villas,capels,monasteries and pavillions. The situation from which he speaks at the beginning is the state of a total mess – he is in a prison cell, accused for power abuse, during the construction of Parnas.
